About Shiraz:
Shiraz is the
capital of the Fars province and the cultural capital of Iran. The cradle Of
Iran’s civilization. Shiraz is located at the center of the ancient land of
Pars near several ancient places like Persepolis, Naghshe rostam , Passargad
, Bishapoor City , and temples and ancient Fire temples and various natural
attractions like the Margoon Falls , the Lost paradise
(Beheshte
gomshode ), Parishan lake , Bakhtegan lake , … . The weather is shiraz is
exemplary and moderate during all the seasons of the year.
In the Archemedian Inscriptions obtained from Persepolis and deciphered, the
shiraz appears.
The objects relics and historical containers and coins in the metropolitan
museum in NewYork testify the greatness and splend our of Shiraz's in the
Solouki , Ashkani , and Sassanid periods . During the excavations in the
AbouNasr palace , it was known that this building dates back to the end of
the
Ashkani
period or the beginning of the sassanid periods . several stamps and beads
have also been found on which there are the name "Ardshir" and "Shiraz ".
According to mythical narrations, shiraz was built by the son of Tahmoures ,
the second Pishdadi king . In 281(A.H) Ameroleith , the second Saffarie king
built a cathedral mosque . During the safari period the popularity and
flourishing of shiraz increased to a large extent-Karim-khan-e-Zand made
shiraz the capital and reconstructed the city .
The appropriate environment in Shiraz has given rise to many scientists ,
authors ,writers and orators like Hafiz , Saa'di, Mollasadra ,Khajoo ,Ahlie
and
Khaghani
who are immortal works of art have been the focus of scientific and literary
circles throughout Iran and the world and enlightened the world perpetuating
the name "Iran" forever.
Shiraz has a mild climate. Its winters and summers are not too hard to
tolerate.
Shiraz's architects have left memorable relics outside of Shiraz even in
India.Among these one can refer to the famous inscriptions Taj Mahal which were
inscribed by a person coming from Shiraz. The architect of Taj Mahal came
from Shiraz too. Recent excavations and research has shown that shiraz was
in existence at the time of Achaemenian kings and witnessed the splendour
and greatness of the kings of that dynasty and the sassanid's
